Level 2 Practicum

TNSC Training Center

True North Soul Care is the counselling ministry of West London Alliance Church. TNSC is an approved Biblical Counselling Training Center for the Association of Biblical Counsellors.

Outcome

In utilizing the ETC training, TNSC’s projected outcome is to equip and coach men and women to increase their quality of soul care within informal and formal counselling settings.  We envision singles and married, fathers and mothers, ministry leaders and small group leaders, pastors/staff and elders benefiting from the training to help support the ongoing growth of soul care in the church.

Experience

The training will include a full-range of learning and development experiences including: counselling observation, supervised counselling with mentoring, in-person counselling consultation groups, and self-directed learning in counselling and theology.

Training Enrolment Options

• ENRICHMENT PRACTICUM:

The “Biblical Counselling Enrichment (BCE)” Practicum Certificate is for individuals that have completed BCE Foundations, and would like to invest in enrichment training for biblical counselling within informal settings and everyday relationships. The BCE students will cover the same core content as the ETC students, however, there will be less supervised counselling hours, and optional continuing education requirements. WLA Church will provide a Biblical Counselling Enrichment Practicum Certificate for individuals that complete the required classroom training, readings, and assignments. NOTE: The Enrichment Practicum is available In-Person only.

• CERTIFICATION LEVEL 2:

The “Equipped To Counsel (ETC)” Level 2 Certification is for individuals that have completed ETC Level 1, and would like to invest in certification training for biblical counselling within informal and formal settings. The ETC L2 students will develop practical counselling skills in the personal ministry of God’s Word, which includes a diversity of counselling experiences and a monthly counsellor consultation group. In addition, they will deepen their counselling acumen and practical theology through self-directed assignments. After completing the requirements, the Association of Biblical Counsellors will provide an Equipped To Counsel Level 2 Certification, which is recognized internationally.
